Best Books for CSIR-UGC (NET) EXAM December 2014

UGC is going to conduct the CSIR-UGC (NET) EXAM FOR AWARD OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURERSHIP. Read the CSIR UGC NET notification here.

CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas: –

1. Chemical Sciences
2. Earth Sciences
3. Life Sciences
4. Mathematical Sciences
5. Physical Sciences
6. Engineering Sciences

The pattern for the Single Paper MCQ test shall be as given below:-

v The MCQ test paper of each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks.
v The exam shall be for duration of three hours.
v The question paper shall be divided in three parts

Ø Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions of two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200

Ø Part ‘B’ shall contain subject-related conventional MCQs. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. The maximum number of questions to be attempted shall be in the range of 20-35.

Ø Part ‘C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

CSIR UGC NET Answer Key, Question Papers, Cutoff and Results 2013

CSIR(Council of Scientific Industrial Research) and UGC(University Grants Commission) conducted the NET(National Eligibility Test) for the eligibility of Lectureship and JRF in universities and colleges.

The CSIR UGC NET was conducted on June 23, 2013(Sunday) all over India at various centers. Thousands of candidates from all over India had appeared for this exam. The main subjects of this exam included Engineering, Mathematics, Life Science, Chemical Science, Earth Sciences and Physical Sciences.

The test was conducted in two shifts i.e. morning and evening.

UGC NET June 2013 Answer Key, Cutoff & Results

UGC conducted the NET(National Eligibility Test) on June 30, 2013. The test was conducted for the award for lectureship certificate and Junior Research Fellowship to the successful candidates. The written test included three papers. The 1st paper was of General Aptitude test and it was compulsory for candidates of all the subjects. The second and third paper was according to the syllabus of subjects chosen by the candidates. There was no negative marking in the whole exam and all the three papers of UGC NET JUNE 2013 were conducted on the same day.

UGC NET JUNE 2013 Cutoff:

The process to award the NET certificate is pretty straight forward. You need to get minimum 40% in paper 1 & paper 2 and 50% in paper 3(For General candidates). The top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), who clear minimum marks, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for lectureship only. A separate list would be prepared for the award of JRF from the NET qualified students. Check out more details here.

The official cutoff for this year will be declared only after the results will be announced. But according to general prediction, it would be pretty much like the last year as the paper was almost similar in difficulty level.

UGC NET June 2013 Notification, Paper Pattern & How To Apply

UGC NET June 2013 notification is out now. University Grants Commission conducts NET(National Eligibility Test) every year, which is minimum eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in the profession of teaching & research.

Important Dates:

Last date To Apply Online and generation of filled Bank Challan for Payment of Fees: 30 April, 2013

Last date of submission of Fees at any SBI Branch: 2 May, 2013

Last date To Take printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from UGC website: 5 May, 2013

Last date To Deposit the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate (along with fee receipt & category certificate(s): 8 May, 2013

UGC NET Exam Date: 30 June, 2013(Sunday)

How To Apply:

Login to your account or create your new account on UGC NET official website – http://ugcnetonline.in/. Fill in all details, upload your photo and signature and take the print out of filled bank Challan for payment. Pay the fees at any SBI branch. Take the printout of Application form, Attendance slip and admit card and deposit all these forms at your respective Coordinating University.

Paper Pattern:

The NET Exam will consist of 3 papers and all the papers will be conducted on the same date. All questions are of objective nature. There is no negative marking.

Paper I: 100 Marks(50 Questions). There will be total of 60 questions out of which 50 question to be attempted. Remember first 50 questions attempted will be checked, so attempt only 50. In this section, questions would be of General Aptitude nature such as Reasoning, Maths, English, GK, Teaching Aptitude, etc.
Timing: 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)

Paper II: 100 Marks(50 Questions). All questions all are compulsory. Questions related to your subject.
Timing: 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)

Paper III: 150 Marks(75 Questions). All questions all are compulsory. Questions related to your subject.
Timing: 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 4.00 P.M.)

Download E-Certificates for UGC NET June & December 2012

University Grants Commission(UGC) conducts the NET(National Eligiblity Test) twice in a year i.e. in June and December. Last year, UGC conducted both the NET exams in a new objective type format. The whole process went smooth.
Recently, UGC announced the result of NET conducted on December 30, 2012. More than six Lakh candidates appeared for the NET exam and 39,226 have cleared the Eligibility of Lectureship. You can check out the result and new answer keys of NET exam here.

E-Certificates for UGC NET June, 2012:

E-Certificates for UGC NET June, 2012 are now available to download. Just login with your email Id and password, you would be available to download your certificate. Even if you have applied offline, you can now create your account and download your E-certificate. For more information, visit – www.ugcnetonline.in.
Candidates who have qualified JRF(Junior Reasearch Fellowship) would also be getting JRF certificate by post.

E-Certificates for UGC NET December, 2012:

For the candidates who cleared the UGC NET and JRF in December, 2012 – E-certificates would be available to download in a couple of months.

UGC NET Result Declared – December 2012 [New Answer Keys Updated]

The University Grants Commission(UGC) has declared the result of NET(National Eligibility Test) held on December 30, 2012. About 7 lakh candidates (7,78,130) registered for this examination out of which 6,15,136 appeared. A total of 39,226 candidates have qualified for the eligibility of Lectureship. Out of these 39,226, 3669 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship.

From June 2012, UGC has started conducting the objective NET test. Earlier it was used to be objective + subjective.

UGC NET Answer Key Announced

UGC(University Grants Commission) has announced the answer key of the NET(National Eligibility Test) held on December 30, 2012. This is the second time that the objective test was conducted for the NET/JRF.
UGC has explained on its official website that the question papers and answer keys for the UGC NET will be available between February 18 and February 26, 2012. You are required to download the PDF of your exam before that if you want to check your correct answers.

If you think any answer is wrong in the answer keys, you can use online feedback system to inform UGC. Click here to visit online feedback system.
No grievance regarding the answer keys will be entertained after February 26, 2013.

The final result will be prepared on the basis of updated answer keys after going through all the grievances. The result would be announced very soon. Do note that this time, only top 15% candidates (for each subject & category), from the merit list, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for lectureship only.
And a separate merit list will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates for the award of JRF.
