UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants Exam, 2013 (424 Posts)
Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) invites applications from the eligible candidates for the written Examination of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants in 2013. The written exam will be held for the selection of 424 posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Total Number of Posts:
424 Vacancies
(BSF-110, CISF – 56, CRPF-138, and ITBP-120) of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Eligibility:
Age: 20-25 years as on 01.08.2013. Age relaxation is allowed as per norms.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of any stream from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to all the required conditions explained in notification.
Sex: Both male and female candidates are eligible for the selection to Border Security Forces(BSF), Central Reserved Police Forces(CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force(CISF). But, only male candidates are eligible for appointment in ITBP(Indo-Tibetan Border Police).
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with grade pay Rs.5400/-(Pay Band 3)

Selection Procedure: Selection process includes objective written exam(there will be negative marking in the written exam) conducted by UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ PET and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.
