UPSC CDS-II Examination 2014 Notification

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2014 including SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2014 on 26th October, 2014 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy amd Air force Academy and Officers Training Academy, Chennai for the courses (Men and Women). \

Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

For Indian Military Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July 1996 only are eligible.
For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July 1997 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1st July 1996 only are eligible.
For Officers’ Training Academy – (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July 1996 only are eligible.
For Officers Training Academy – SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course : (a) Unmarried Women, issue less widows who have not remarried, and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorcee documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd July, 1990 and not later than 1st July, 1996.

(B) Educational Qualifications:

For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.

(C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to
combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2014 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Fee : Pay Rs.200/- either in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking of SBI or by using Credit/ Debit card. Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted.

UPSC Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants Exam, 2013 (424 Posts)

Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) invites applications from the eligible candidates for the written Examination of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants in 2013. The written exam will be held for the selection of 424 posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Total Number of Posts:

424 Vacancies
(BSF-110, CISF – 56, CRPF-138, and ITBP-120) of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Eligibility:

Age: 20-25 years as on 01.08.2013. Age relaxation is allowed as per norms.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of any stream from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to all the required conditions explained in notification.
Sex: Both male and female candidates are eligible for the selection to Border Security Forces(BSF), Central Reserved Police Forces(CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force(CISF). But, only male candidates are eligible for appointment in ITBP(Indo-Tibetan Border Police).

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with grade pay Rs.5400/-(Pay Band 3)

Selection Procedure: Selection process includes objective written exam(there will be negative marking in the written exam) conducted by UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ PET and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.

Territorial Army Officers Recruitment 2013 Notification, Paper Pattern & How To Apply

Indian Army invites applications from the eligible male employed candidates to join territorial army as Officers. In Territorial army, you can join as officers(Lieutenant) without leaving your primary profession. That means candidates would be to serve the nation both as a civilian & as an Territorial Army.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduation from any recognized University in any stream.
Age Criteria: 18 to 42 years as on 30/06/2013
Candidates’ Primary Profession: Any male candidates employed in Central Government/ Semi Government/ Private Firm/ Own business or Self-employed can apply for these vacancies.

Embodiment for Training:

– One month basic training in the first year of commission.
– Two months annual training every year including the first year.
– Three months post commissioning training within first three years at IMA Dehradun.

Paper Pattern and Syllabus:

PART 1: Short Essay

UPSC CDS invites applications from the eligible aspirants of Indian army to join the armed forces. A Combined Defence Services Examination will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission on September 8, 2013. Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Dec 2013 Officer Entry

Indian Navy invites applications from the eligible unmarried male candidates for the recruitment in the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. You can now become the permanent commissioned officer in 10+2(Technical) B.Tech Cadet via Entry scheme coursed starting in December 2013.

Important Dates:

Age Criteria: 17-19 & Half years(Students born between July 2, 1994 and January 1, 1997.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Senior Secondary Examination (Class 10+2) or its equivalent from recognized Board with more than 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English subject in any of the classes – class X or class XII.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

Height and Weight : Male Height – Minimum 157 cms, with correlated weight. Eye Sight – The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 with glasses. No color or night blindness.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with grade pay Rs.5400 plus MSP Rs.6000/-
