UPSC CDS invites applications from the eligible aspirants of Indian army to join the armed forces. A Combined Defence Services Examination will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission on September 8, 2013. IMA, Dehradun – 250 vacancies

Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – 40 vacancies

Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – 32 vacancies

Officers Training Academy, 100th SSC Course – 175 vacancies

Officers Training Academy, 14th SSC Course – 12 vacancies

Application Fees and How To Apply:

Rs. 200 for General candidates. SC/ST are exempted from paying fees. To apply online, visit – www.upsconline.nic.in.

Syllabus of Examination:

1) English Language
2) General Knowledge(Current Affairs, History, Geography, etc.)
3) Elementary Mathematics(Upto Class 10th level)

There will be three tests of 100 marks of 2 hours. There is also a negative marking of 0.33 marks. More details can be read in the notification.
