SSC CGL 2014 Tier 1 Exam Analysis:

In the morning papers, everything was tough except Reasoning.(English was moderate to high level. Reasoning was easy. Maths was difficult and time consuming. GK was also tough as compared to last years’ SSC papers.

In the Evening papers, everything was easy except English.

SSC CGL 2014 Exam Postponed – New Dates Announced

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially notified that the SSC CGL 2014 got postponed. In a new notification published by SSC on its official website, the Tier 1 of the Combine Graduate Level(CGL) 2014 exam, which was scheduled to be held on April 27, 2014 and May 4, 2014 is postponed. The reasons of the postponement include the General Elections which are going to be held during the months of April and May 2014 in the country and also the Re-Examination of SSC CGL 2013 which is going to be held on 27th April 2014.
The new exam dates of SSC CGL 2014 have not yet announced, but the exam will be held in the second half of the year, possibly in the month of July 2014.

2) SSC Reasoning Chapterwise Solved Papers 1999 Till Date: It contains Chapter wise Compilation of reasoning section of Previous Years’ Papers of all Exams Conducted by SSC (CGL, CHSL ,FCI ,Delhi Police,SI etc.).

C) General Awareness: General Awareness is a very tricky section. No matter how much you prepare for this, still you will find lots of tough questions. So my advice would be to focus on current affairs more, there would be around 10-15 questions of current affairs and for the rest of the part, read one of the books given below.

SSC CGL 2014 Notification – Expected Dates

In a great news to the aspiring candidates, Sunil K. Ranjan(DEPUTY REGIONAL DIRECTOR – North Western Region) has announced in his Facebook post that SSC CGL 2014 would be conducted as per the same schedule.
The announcement has been made after Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram austerity measures announced today to cut non-plan expenditure by 10 per cent.

Aiming to restrict the fiscal deficit to 4.8 per cent of GDP in 2013-14, the Finance Ministry has ordered all ministries and departments not to buy new vehicles, create new jobs or fill posts lying vacant for over one year.

The notification for SSC CGL 2014 would be published on January 18, 2014. Last date to apply would be Feb. 14, 2014 and Tier 1 examination would be conducted on April 27 and May 4, 2014.
