Paper Pattern:

Selection will be through Online Examination and Interview. The Online Examination will be for 200 marks and is tentatively scheduled to be held in the fourth week of September 2014. The online exam is divided into following five sections. All these sections are of 40 marks each.

1) Test of Reasoning

2) Test of English Language

3) Test of Numerical Ability

4) Test of General Awareness

5) Test of Computer Knowledge

Total exam time is 2 hours and 200 marks.

RBI is going to conduct the RBI Grade B officers exam 2014 for the recruitment in Reserve Bank of India. There are 117 vacancies for Grade B Officers this time.

Selection Process:

This is three phase selection process that includes:

1) Online Objective Exam
2) Subjective/Descriptive Exam Exam
3) Interview

A) Phase 1 – Online Objective Exam:

This Paper for 200 marks will be held on August 2/3/9/10, 2014. The Paper consists tests of i) General Awareness ii) English Language iii) Quantitative Aptitude and iv) Reasoning, with composite time of 130 minutes.

A) English Language:

Reserve Bank of India(RBI) invites applications from the eligible candidates for the recruitment of 117 post of Grade B Officers in the central bank of India i.e. RBI.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Age: 21-30 years as on 1.6.2014.

Educational Qualifications (as on 01/06/2014): i) A First Class Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters / years ; OR ii) A Second Class Master’s Degree with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR iii) A Doctorate Degree; with minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade, in aggregate of all semesters / years in Master’s Degree; OR iv) Chartered/Cost Accountant/Company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor’s Degree; OR v) A Post Graduate Diploma in Management / MBA qualification from institutions recognized by Government of India / University Grants Commission, with Graduation / Bachelor’s Degree.

Scheme of Selection: Selection will be through Examinations and Interview. Examinations will be held in two phases [Phase-I ON-LINE Examination (Objective Type) and Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive type)] as under:

(I) Phase-I ON-LINE Examination (Objective Type): This Paper for 200 marks will be held on August 2/3/9/10, 2014. The Paper consists tests of i) General Awareness ii) English Language iii) Quantitative Aptitude and iv) Reasoning, with composite time of 130 minutes.

Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as aggregate, as prescribed by the Board.

(II) Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive Type): The Phase-II Written Examination (WE) will be conducted in September/ October 2014 (tentative) only for those candidates who are shortlisted for the same. The date and time-table will be intimated to the candidates concerned at the appropriate time. The Examination will consist of three Descriptive Type papers – (i) Paper I – English (ii) Paper II – Economic and Social Issues and (iii) Paper III – Finance and Management. Each of these papers is of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks.

Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in Phase-II of the Examination and Interview taken together.

RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment – New Notification in June, 2014

In a great news to all the aspiring candidates, the new notification for RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment will be announced in June, 2014.

This reply was sought by a candidate via a RTI. Also, the current sanctioned strength of Grade B Officers(CSG) in RBI is 1464 but the current working strength of Grade B Officers in RBI is only 1284.
That means this time around in 2014, around 180 vacancies are expected. Read the RTI below.

Download Admit Card/Hall Ticket/Call letters for RBI Grade B Officers Exam 2013

Reserve Bank of India(RBI) is going to conduct the recruitment exam for Grade B Officers on August 17, 24 and 25, 2013. This is first of the two written exams for this recruitment. You can more details about this recruitment here.

According to the official handout, the paper will be objective. There will be 200 questions to be solved in 130 minutes, there are section cutoffs, and negative marking.

RBI Assistant Exam 2013 – Analysis, Cutoff & Results 2013

RBI conducted the online objective written exam for the recruitment of Assistants on July 20 & 21, 2013. The written exam was of 2 hours and consisted of 200 questions.
Questions were divided into five sections of 40 questions in each section.

RBI Assistant Exam 2013 – Analysis:

English Section – English was the easiest section of all the sections. Out of 40 questions in English,
10 questions from comprehension passage, 10 questions from cloze test, 05 questions from sentence arrangements, 05 questions from single filler and 10 questions from common error.
If you have prepared well, it was very easy to attempt all 40 questions.

General Awareness – Most of the questions were related to banking and RBI. Apart from that, there were some current affairs question. Overall, this section was moderate in difficulty. Some of the questions were Current CRR, money bill can be introduced in – lok sabha/rajya sabha, revolution 2020 author, winner of 2012 french open women singles, tax structure in budget , banking ombudsman, primary market, secondary market related to -trading/rbi etc., white label ATM, current note life, food security bill guarantees subsidized food to _ percent of population, function of finance commission, Women’s day, SAARC Theme, Meaning of inflation, Golden Globe Award, etc.

Computer Awareness – This section was little tricky but most of the questions were easy. Questions were based on MS office, Networking and General computer knowledge.

Numerical Aptitude – The most time consuming section. Almost all the questions were based on BODMASS calculations. There were 1-2 questions from Geometry, Algebra, etc.

Reasoning – This section was also easy except few questions.

So, overall paper was quite easy.

RBI Assistant Exam 2013 – Cutoff:

As the written exam was easy, the cutoff is expected to be high. It will be around 120-140+ depending on the number of seats in your region.

RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment 2013 – Solved Sample Paper(Previous Years’) – PDF Download

Reserve Bank of India is conducting the RBI Grade B Officers Recruitment in 2013 again. There are total of 98 vacancies all over India. You can find more about RBI Grade B Recruitment 2013 here.

The recruitment process of RBI Grade Officers invokes three phases:

a) Objective Type Written Exam
b) Descriptive Type Exam
c) Interview

The first phase will be objective type written exam.

Below is the breakup of questions asked in RBI Grade B officers 2011 Exam:
