CTET 2013 Notification and Important Details

CBSE has announced the notification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) to be conducted on July 28 2013. The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the CTET examination in two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

About Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET):

Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) is an eligibility test conducted by CBSE to qualify teachers for teaching in CBSE Schools. It is conducted twice every year. The score of CTET is eligible for all central govt. schools and schools that are under the administrative control of Union Territory of Chandigarh, Daman & Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli & NCT of Delhi.

Paper 1 is for the teachers who want to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. If you want to teach Classes 1 to 8, you will need to clear both the exams. The exam is an objective type. There will be total of 150 questions each carrying 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

Important Dates:

Start of Submission of Online Application Form: March 15, 2013
Last Date of Submission of Online Application Form: April 16, 2013
Last date of receipt of confirmation page by CBSE: April 22, 2013
