Best Books for NABARD Recruitment 2015

NABARD invites applications for the post of Assistant Manager (Grade ‘A’) in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS), Rajbhasha Service, Legal Service, Protocol & Security Service and Manager
(Grade ‘B’) (RDBS).

This is three phase selection process that includes:

1) Online Objective Exam
2) Subjective Exam
3) Interview

A) Phase 1 – Online Objective Exam:

This objective exam of RBI Grade B officers would consists of 200 questions which are further divided into 4 sections viz. Maths, English, Reasoning and General Awareness. The time is of two hours and there is a sectional cutoff.

A) English Language:

1) General English by Lucent Publications: The best book for the preparation of English section. All topics are explained in English and Hindi section.

B) General Intelligence and Reasoning:

1) Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey (BSC Publication): Great book available in the market to prepare high level reasoning. All topics are explained systematically.

C) Quantitative Aptitude:

1) Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Arihant: My personal favourite in Maths that covers all basics and shortcuts in a relative intuitive manner. Hundreds of questions are also given at the end of each chapter for lots of practice.

D) General Awareness, Marketing & Computers:

1) Handbook on Computer Awareness: This Book is really useful for Recruitment Exams such as SBI PO, IBPS PO/RRB/Clerk, SSC, LIC AAO, Railways and entrance exams of MCA, MBA, BBA and similar courses.

If this book is not available, buy this book:

2) Guide to Banking General Awareness and Banking Aptitude Test: Great book for banking awareness section. It contains more than 1,000 questions for the preparation of Banking awareness section.

3) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Aptitude / General & Banking Awareness for RBI Exams: A Must have book that covers marketing aptitude, computer knowledge and banking awareness.

B) Phase 2 – Descriptive/Subjective Exam: The shortlisted candidates after the objective exam would be called for descriptive exam. It includes three papers:

(i) Paper I – English
(ii) Paper II – Economic and Social Issues
(iii) Paper III – Finance & Management.

Each of these three descriptive papers is of 3 hours duration and carries 100 marks.

1) Descriptive General English by SP Bakshi: This amazing book covers many letters, essays, precis, reports, etc. in a very detailed manner. This is THE MUST BUY BOOK for descriptive portion.

2) Indian Economy : For Civil Services Examinations 5th Edition: Great book to prepare for Economics paper.
