Scores/Marks of IBPS CWE Clerks-II 2013 Declared

IBPS CWE Clerk-II online written exam scores have been declared. IBPS has conducted the common written online examination for Clerks Phase-II on 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th December 2012. The test was conducted online for the first time and it went successfully.

The result status of the IBPS CWE Clerk-II was declared on 11 January, 2013. Many students cleared the test but the final selection depends upon the number of marks scored by the candidate.

How To Check the Scores of IBPS CWE Clerks-2 Exam

The scores are available on the official website of IBPS. To check the scores of IBPS CWE Clerks-II exam – click here.

The cut off is state wise and the total minimum qualifying score for GENERAL candidates in Haryana in IBPS CWE Clerks-II is 117 and 19 in each section. Only clearing the minimum qualifying score will not guarantee your selection in the banks because all the banks prepare their own cut off list when they call for the interview. And that cut off list is usually very high, more than 130-135.

IBPS follows a Total Weighted Standard Score method to calculate the marks of the candidates. Find more about it here – How IBPS Arrive at Total Weighted Standard Score for IBPS CWE Clerks-II.

How IBPS Arrive at Total Weighted Standard Score for IBPS CWE Clerks-II

Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Clerical Cadre (CWE-Clerks-II)

There are many doubts among the students that how IBPS arrive at standard scores while calculating the scores for IBPS CWE Clerks-2 exam. So, today I’ll share the process of arriving at Standard scores given by IBPS on their official website.

Process for Arriving at Standard Scores

The Standard Scores are obtained by adopting the following procedure:

1) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

2) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores*. (*Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.)

3) The Equated Scores so obtained are standardized** to arrive at Final Standard Score with a minimum ‘0’ and maximum ‘40’ by following Linear Transformation Method.(**The equated scores in each test are scaled to Standardised Scores with Mean 20 and Standard Deviation 4)

This procedure is followed for each of the tests.

Note: Cutoffs were applied in two stages:

a) On standard scores in individual tests.

b) On Total Weighted Standard Score.

If you still have any doubts, just ask in comments.
